For Venki, being able to see the world through his young son's eyes serves as inspiration for his art. Venki has created innocent and simple worlds with stylized lines and fresh colors in the more than 60 children's books he has illustrated.
As a graduate of Fine Arts, Venki is also the recipient of three prestigious awards for children's illustration in his home state of Kerala, India. He also works as an editorial illustrator for the new Indian Express, a national English daily.
