Lido Contemori is an accomplished illustrator from Firenze, Italy. In 1980, he published his illustrations for the Italian newspaper, La Repubblica. Since then he has done work for a number of publications including Linus, Guerin Sportivo, Playboy, Corriere della Sera, Il Tirreno, Il Piccolo, Il Mattino di Padova, La Nuova Venezia, Il Secolo XIX di Genova, La Gazetta dello Sport, Radiocorriere TV, Andersen, and Il Caffe Illustrato. He has also illustrated books for various publishing houses such as Feltrinelli, Guaraldi, Ponte alle Grazie, Atlas, Hoepli, Donzelli. Lido is the recipient of international prizes, among which are the Italian Satire Award (1998) and the Eurohumor Award (2003).
