Jim graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Illustration and Design.
After working for several years at a greeting card company painting humorous cards, he worked for
The Boston Globe's in-house advertising agency as a graphic designer and illustrator until his retirement.
The job required the full use of all Adobe software including Illustrator, which is his choice for his illustration work.
He now has an illustration studio at his home. Along with his wife, two daughters and three cats, he lives in
a pre -1800 Cape in Quincy, MA., just a block up the street from the birthplace of President John Adams
and his son, John Quincy Adams.
